Thanks for such an awesome writeup!

In regards to your three concerns:

1. You're looking to make the unread posts disappear totally?
2. We're going to work to improve this visibility in Flock 1.0. Feeds are updated every hour.
3. Great feedback. I will pass this on to the team...this may make it into 1.0.

-- Not totally. But perhaps a filter on the feed reader page (as a checkbox) next to "Full - Excerpts - Headlines" to allow me to remove already-read posts from the page.
